2017 USA Gymnastics was announced to be hosted by Milwaukee next year, particularly at the Wisconsin Center and BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Visit Milwaukee is a company that advertises the region to tourists, convention organizers, and meeting planners. Very recently, the group just announced that USA Gymnastics has awarded to Milwaukee the championships. Although the competition schedule is still unavailable as of the moment, the championships will be held from June 27 to July 2.

According to the President and CEO of Visit Milwaukee, Paul Upchurch, “Milwaukee is excited to welcome the USA Gymnastics Championships. As a great sports destination with passionate sports fans, we look forward to giving the athletes a memorable experience.”

The group estimates the economic impact of the event to the region to be $5.4million.

The USA Gymnastics championship presents more than 1,800 of the country’s best gymnasts in all gymnastics practice. Performances in acrobatic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling will determine who would belong into the junior and senior US National Teams that will compete at the 2017 World Games, the equivalent of the Olympic Games for sports and events not included in the Olympics. In adition, the competition for rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling will be part of the selection process for the 2017 World Championships.

President of USA Gymnastics, Steve Penny, said that Milwaukee will be the perfect host for this event. Summertime is a beautiful season in Milwaukee and he was sure everyone will enjoy being there.

Junior Olympic competition will be staged at the Wisconsin Center, while the junior and senior elite competition will be held at the BMO Hrris Bradley Center from June 29-July 1.

The tickets will go on sale in 2017.
